Herbs

I have always wanted to have herbs close to the kitchen... you know right out the back door. (-:
Commented to my husband about it and thought since we live in wine country there should be some wine barrels or half wine barrels around to purchase. We were side tracked at a yard sale where I found some perfect pots to plant herbs in.
And we did just that. I planted chives, basil, purple basil, oregano, parsley, lemon oregano, sage, german thyme and greek oregano.
Along the backs side of the herbal planter I planted green onions... I had used the greens in a salad and started the white, root part, in a little bowl with water in it. They started to grow so I planted them in the back... as the green stalk gets taller, I cut them back and use them in salads, soups and sauces (-;
